Lagoon.
Yippeee open at last and now the majority of fresh water has drained out
it is tidal again and the big fish are back it is going to be a great time to
fish especially as we are coming up to full moon Spring Tides on Sunday.
Surf.
Sad to announce the Mud Bream season is closed for the next 10 months
however the good news is Shad season is open, there are monsters in the surf
between 3-5 kg, Snapper Cob are full up and decent size ones at that, keep
anything over 40cm and you will leave the beach with enough fish. Amongst the
Snapper cob are Diamonds and Sandie’s so be prepared to get torn apart? Shark
anglers need to be on top of your game as there have been a lot of smash ups so
far this summer and not one black tip has been landed we suspect it is them
causing havoc.
Ski Boat.
The mouth is open and you can go in and out without bothering too much
in an average size boat. The guys that went out yesterday and made the video of
them coming back manage some bottoms but no game fish, they did not even see
birds, however it is time for the snoek to make their appearance in the area
behind the wreck, we will keep you informed.
News from the shop.
We currently have 9 types of bait in stock and they are all working
however the hottest combos at the moment are Bait Prawn, Sard and Chokka.
