The lagoon was fairly active over the weekend angler wise however when I was chatting to the guys in the main car park it seemed they were mainly catching the Slender Moray Eel and very few fish yesterday while marshalling a bush race we watched guys fishing but did not see anything noteworthy been caught. Today been Monday and we all at work the fish will come on the bite.

Mostly small Kob were caught over the weekend together with Lessor Sand Sharks, there were a few big Shad caught and 3 Garrick at the mouth yesterday. Some guys went to the mouth on Friday morning but got swamped wading and then by the rain so they packed up. On Saturday the guys had live bait out at the main beach but no pickups at all, not even Spinners. Most of the Kob that were caught were caught fairly close in, they tend to move in at night. The main beach seemed to produce the most fish with Doggies been very quiet.

Ski boat

Nanook went out for a bit of Tuna fishing and boated one and one boat got one of about 25kg, it seems the fish were not biting beep sea over the weekend, we had a few anglers from Richards Bay browsing in the shop over the weekend and they all complained that fishing has been very slow in their waters and that is why they run down here, they don’t like launching through the mouth as I suggested that might same them time.
