Weather for the weekend.
Saturday and Sunday are for caste with strong South winds and Rain only easing off on Monday, a Anglers night mare, however pop into the shop and see what’s new and exchange trace ideas.
Continued fishing well all week and looks like the place to fish this weekend if you want to brave the wind and the rain. Best Bait to use is the Red Bait Prawn, it is easier to bait up with and a lot firmer so lasts longer.
Main beach was very weedy from the Sunday Wind and on Tuesday morning 1 Shad was landed on Main Beach, however in front of Forest Lodge there was a lot of activity with Cob, Pompano, Shad and Lessor Sand Sharks making an appearance this remained till this morning. After the weed settled on the main beach it fished well Wednesday till this morning when the South came through, unfortunately it means the surf will be full of weed with a side wash.
Tuesday was the best day to go out, we had a charter booked and they boated some Slinger and Cob, a stunning Speckled snapper about 3.5kg and a massive Cat Face Rockod, they then called it a day. We were very surprised they went out at all, they phoned to make a booking at 01H10 am and were at the shop still on the juice at 06H15am . For the remainder of the weekend ……blow out. Still waiting more news from the Cape to Rio being fished at Vidal this weekend by sounds of things from lunch time the comp has been blown out, very sad for the lads. The leading Couta is a baby at 9.8kg.
News from the Shop.
We have more stock coming in next week with some more new lines. Over all we were very busy and took a total of 3 bait deliveries so what we got now is fresher than fresh.
