Weather for the weekend.
It’s raining, its pouring the old man is snoring and the sea is full of hungry fish. Get the raincoats out and go have a crack at the fish, mind the shore break………
S still with us for most of the day with rain forecast in the morning gusting 18 by the afternoon. This will give a good carry from the T Box on the 8th and 9h hole. Ops sorry thing about my golf game tomorrow, sorry. Max temp 19. Barometer 1026 dropping to 1024. Wave height 2.5 dropping to 1.8m by the evening, period 10.
NE with us most of the day with the wind gusting 29 by the evening. Max temp 26. Here is the best bit the Barometer drops rapidly from early morning from 1021 to 1014. Wave height 1.5m, period 11.
Shad, River bream, Spotted Grunter, Cob all been landed this week and all species made size, a monster River Bream of at least 2kg was landed in the slipway area, it was so old it was nearly black and its teeth were bending backwards. Although we had some rain last night and today the river looks fishable.
If a 72 year old young angler can land 2 very big Cob in 2 days so can we, water colour perfect and with a fast dropping Barometer on Sunday morning the beach has got to be the place to be. The sea is a bit rough today but calms down tomorrow a leaving Sunday with a 1.5m swell, good for wading. Don’t forget to fish 2 sticks, one for Eds and the other Noneds, get the best of both worlds, we have just taken a delivery of prime Chokka.
Amatikulu Ski Boat club are having an outing to Vidal this weekend and I hope they find sea conditions better than we have here, sea is still very green and bumpy, hopefully by Sunday this sorts itself out and we get some blue water into the bay.
News from the shop.
We have just started our bass fishing range, pop and have a peep and give us some feedback please. We are also looking at going over to a bar code system this will speed up the point of sale as at the moment we are doing everything manually.
