Still one of the best places to sit and pass the day at. Slender Giant Moray or Pompa, this species of Eel grows the longest of all Eels and is not a cave dweller or reliant on Reefs for its survival and this is why they enter the estuarine system. We mainly catch juveniles in the lagoon however there are some big fellas about and they do give a good account of themselves. When handling these guys be careful of the busy end as they have sharp teeth. Good catches of size bream are still being made please release them as they are in the middle of their breeding season and like all shore dwelling fish there numbers are under pressure, every little bit helps.

Very quiet this week so far on the beach. Mainly due to not many people fishing not because there are no fish, I suppose the folks are busy with other stuff. We still have not heard of any Garrick been caught and I know of 2 groups that tried on Tuesday I think it was, one lot on the main beach and the other at Port Dunford, we had no feedback from both.

Ski Boat.

After a quiet week it seems that the guys are going out tomorrow and Sunday with one group targeting Garrick at Richards Bay. The weather is looking good as is the sea colour, lets “sea” what the guys bring in. Gerries, Pats and Edwards are the hotspots at the moment, be prepared to que up to enter the area, Tickets will be on sale at Yellow Rope for those approaching from the North………

Next events.
