Lagoon.
We still
planning to hold our Kiddies Fishing Clinic on Monday afternoon at the main car
park at the lagoon from 1pm till 4pm, there are 2 prizes up for grabs, 1 each
for Boys and Girls based on the most Centimeters caught. It is free just bring
your own rods, tackle and bait. The water colour is good and the high tide is
after 2pm in the sea so if you fishing the picnic areas you will have incoming
water till about 4pm.
Surf.
It would be so
nice to see the guys fishing at The Banks behaving like animals when walking to
and fro to the beach as well as in the car park, animals don’t through rubbish
about .Yesterday we fished the Banks we had 5 big baits out with various baits
and while we were waiting for a pickup we scratched for some Shad or Snapper
for swim baits, a Young 7 year old showed us how it was done, he caught enough
shad for all of us to have a live bait, he was catching them on top of the
bank. Not only did he out fish all of us combined he also put his own Chokka
bait on and even cut his own Shad bait, his bait skills and catching skills
amazed those who had not seen this little guy fish, he fishes like a pro and even
unhooks his own catch even little Milkies that have a really tough mouth. So
far today the Shad, puffers and pompano are been caught on main beach, one of
the Pompano I am told is over a kg. Fishing for the weekend looks good as long
as the water does not go clean but it is nice and cold.
Ski Boat
Weather conditions
are looking great for the weekend, most of the guys are looking to go out
tomorrow and the water from the road looks a nice colour so maybe the game fish
will pop up in numbers. Although the ski boat club closes at 1pm tomorrow and
Sunday the grounds are still open to wash your boat.
