Lagoon
With a the rain we had from Saturday
night till now we expect the temperature to drop in the lagoon because upriver temperatures
we recorded at 31deg and near the mouth 28 however fish were caught the boats
targeted River Snapper in the main and got a few decent ones with some very
nice size River Bream, live baits were stolen by something very fast, maybe it
was the bay Zambies that come into the river at this time of year.
Surf
Although the water was warm on
Saturday some nice catches were made Diamonds came out at a few places a small Zambezi
Shark was caught at first there were a lot of names for it been banded about
before we settled on it been a Zambie, young sharks look very similar to each
other. Sachen managed a nice Shad of 58cm the biggest for quite some time now
although we suspect they have been taking the small Shad it was time one was
caught. A car was broken into at the Banks on Thursday afternoon, this is not
good at all. Just be aware of what is going on around you when you get there,
maybe we should to a stroll around and see if anyone is hanging around and
check what they are doing.
Ski boat
Several guys went out including some
holiday makers from Ermelo, Greg took them to Gerries but had to return back as
he was taking in water for some reason, they had fun and managed a big Slinger
between them. Acton got a decent Couta and released a Dorado. Peter went out
late and got a big Bonito of a good few KG, we did not measure or weigh it but
it was a good fish none the less. Louis planned a short trip but got no game
fish however his wife managed to a catch a decent size Kob her first from the
Jet Ski.
