Lagoon
Fishing was somewhat subdued over the weekend or it could
have been a hive of activity and we did not get to hear about it, it goes like
that sometimes and later in the week we hear of massive fish been caught.
Surf
Although the weather was kind for fishing most of the
weekend the fish were not kind back and were very slow to bite and the Anglers
that persisted caught something like the odd Shad or Milky. There was a
sighting of a shark just behind the shore break it was suspected to be a big
Zambie patrolling along and it was after the sighting when a Diamond was
landed, not a very big one but a nice specimen none the less. 18 more days and
Mud Bream become Shad speaking of which there are still some nice specimens
over 2kg lurking about. The absence of Snapper Kob was noted this weekend
hopefully they will come back from where ever they went.
Ski boat
Friday and yesterday were fishable days and good catches
were made of bottom fish mainly Squaretail Kob and slinger but in our bay no game
fish were caught or seen, however out at high point Nanook boated a 9 Kg
Dorado.
