Lagoon.
The Wright brothers were at it again with another Zambie, this was
caught at the Steel Bridge area on live Mullet, and another one was caught at
the slipway area on Saturday. A Shad was caught as well as some Cob and nice
size River bream. The lagoon is full of surprises lately.
Surf.
There was a small window for surf fishing on Saturday morning and a
group of guys went to Port Dunford to try for an early Garrick but the Milky
Sharks took advantage of the juicy Mullet and that was all they caught. No
reports of any other fish caught yet.
Ski Boat.
On Friday Theuns and Brett went out to get a Couta on what was Thuens’s
last trip to sea before leaving for Australia on Tuesday. They managed a nice
big Couta of over 30kg which has been eluding them all season. Not to be out done
Nick got one, we not sure where this one was caught however Theuns and Brett’s
one was caught at Gerries, in fact most of the Couta were caught there this
year. Saturday and Sunday were a blow out as will be most of this week.
