Lagoon.
After the big rain earlier on in the week the river colour is coming
back to its old self. This is good news for the clinic tomorrow afternoon in
the main car park from 14H00 to 16H00. We are going to try target “Game Fish”
so the kids can have some action. The wind if behave as forecast will be coming
from behind us and this will help with casting.
Surf.
Busy, busy, and busy, “Diamonds are forever”. A bus of a Zambie was
landed at over 200kg during the week and there have been smash ups in front of
the recently opened Siyayi river. So it is all systems go. On the edible side
Snoek were landed between the Forest Lodge and the Siyayi for the 2ndtime this week, plenty of Snapper Cob and Shad but the Rockcod and Spotted
Grunter seem to have disappeared, they got to eat so must come back.
Ski Boat.
This week was very quiet although every morning launching was possible bar
Monday, the weekend outlook does not look very good, however tomorrow morning
till about 11 will be the best time, Sunday looks like a nightmare day. The
water color in the bay is looking good and let’s hope the Couta start showing
up in numbers, they seem a little late this year, the Couta classic is 6 weeks
away.
Next events.
Kiddie’s clinic on the 24 Feb.
Next monthly mug will be on the 4 March at the Umlalazi Ski Boat Club.
Umlalazi Ski Boat Club Couta classic 7-8 April 2018.
