Lagoon.

Mmmmm been very quiet big fish wise but lots of small fish to keep one busy. Artificial seem to be working again after winter so look out for fish been shoaled and through into the shoal or over it, you bound to pick up a Pickhandle, King Fish, Ox Eye Tarpon or a Cob don’t discount a Shad so use a wire bite trace..

Surf.

Very quiet this week in fact the quietest it has been for a long time, fish are coming out mainly Shad and Snapper Cob but not in the numbers we were getting used to. Tomorrow looks like a good day with NE blowing and going to be hot, Diamond time. When handling a Diamond please do not flip it over or put your fingers in its Spiracles ( Nostrils), pull the fish out for the last bit by putting you hand in its mouth or the leader, it has sharp teeth so use a leather glove or your cap to protect your fingers, when you lift its head up its bottom jaw drops and there for cannot close it to “create a bite” very much  the same applies to a Shark, they bite down and not up if you understand what I am trying to say.

Ski Boat.

Crazy weather we had this week, 3 days we fishable and on Wednesday the Jet Ski’s took advantage of that and boated the first Tuna of the season in the Bay. If Tuna are here so must the rest of the game fish. Tuesday produced bottoms of which Cob was the dominant species. Today we have a big shore break at the moment so be careful if launching off the beach.
