Lagoon

With all the going on in the village this weekend with 2 days of bike rides and bush runs not a lot of fishing was done however we did see a nice size Bartail been caught in the main car park, we mapped that area using a fish finder and the deepest hole is in front of the barge that is moored there, it is 2.6m while moving to the left it is 2.4m. Fish from the logs to the front of the barge.

Surf

We had a weekend of very big swell which means the formations of the beaches would have changed for the better and we should now have some holes back making fishing far easier. Over the weekend some catches of Shad were made with nothing out of the ordinary been reported as we speak. The local Club anglers were busy catering at the Couta Classic.

Ski boat

Firstly congratulations to Sakkie De Villiers with a fine Couta of 31kg earning him the first prize in second was Mike Leenstra and in 3rdNik De Witt. The event was fished as a postponed event however it was well supported and very well organized and a great time was had by all. The weather sort of payed its part, Saturday saw a howling South wind and Sunday big swells be the anglers fished hard and well with the conditions presented. A few other gave species were caught, Queen Mackerel, Bonito and Tuna. One boat had a bit of an adventure when their engine failed and they had to be towed back by a Jet Ski, thank you Ernst. The winning fish was caught on a live Bonito at High Point so we were told.
