Lagoon.

Coming up to spring tide over the weekend the lagoon will fish well, I believe one of the contributors to this is the amount of water movement. The main species been caught at the moment are River Bream, Squaretail Kob and Spotted Grunter.

Surf.

The surf is flat at the moment in fact right now Jozini Dam might be a good surf spot. The structure on Main and Doggies is very flat and wading is a must to get to deeper water, currently the best way to fish these 2 beaches is on the incoming tide but still wading. Shangri La Beech is busy today as it is still beep as are The Banks and Lucky Dip. As we all know Sardines are like Rocking Horse manure, I went it to Spar and bought all their boxes so we have some in the shop. We do have Bonnies, Chokka and Mac’s as well as Bait Prawn and Baby Squid so all is not lost. There fish are about and so a small sharks some I believe are just over a meter long and I have not been able to identify them as I have not seen a picture of them, not only are they taking live bait they are also been caught  on throw bait.

Ski Boat.

Good news is those that have been fishing this week have caught Couta and from what we can make out most of them have been caught in the area around Gerries, Pats and Edwards. Some are making the 20kg mark which will make the results coming in over the weekend very interesting. We went and photographed the channels in the mouth area at low tide due to the fact we could not get cover in the shop however the advantage will be is you will know what is under you when you choose which of 2 channels to take to get to the mouth, we will post the pictures in a while.
