Just as I mentioned on the Monday report later in the week I will find out about somebody who had some good luck over the weekend well my informant did just that, they bagged a nice River Snapper, caught on Pilchard Tail. Well done Kevin Snr. Earlier this week another informant who is actually a trout fishing guide had fun at the stone wall area with Sand Sharks and small Rays caught on small live mullet and since we spoke he must be adding River Snapper and River Bream to his species count. The lagoon is back to its normal colour and we expect some good catches to be made. There have been no reports of Gill Netting this week which means there will be fish for us to catch.
Today the sea is settled and has some good “Kob Colour” water. Port Dunford was the place to fish as it is fairly sheltered from the N wind that blew all week with Wednesday after noon been the best time to fish and the Anglers who made it (I believe there were about 30 of you in various groups) caught a few Blue Sting Rays and a lot of Snapper Kob of reasonable size, their heads make excellent bait. The main beach and Doggies was unfishable as the surf was like a washing machine, this has now settled.
Was a disastrous fishing week weather wise however those that took the gap this morning must be on the fish by now? Some guys went out on their water motorbikes at first light.
From the shop.
We are expecting our summer order in next week and we have bought in some new lines. Kingfisher have bought out their new catalogue with some very exciting new ranges and changes to some of the old, pop in and let us know what you want us to stock.
